Welcome to My Blog!

As a photographer, I am romanticized by the smallest things... my portraits are about relationships: intimate, loving, imperfect and endlessly beautiful.  Weddings are a strength for me because they combine all of these traits of life into one glorious event. But I love to photograph anything from portraits of children, Seniors, Pets and even Boudoir images!

Some of my images are whimsical, some of my images are sentimental. All of my images are sincere... active and always filled with life. I both graduated from the University of Georgia in 2005 with a BFA in Photography and have been photographing for around 5 years as a full time profession.

The images that I create for my clients will last for generations: they are once in a lifetime moments, glances and gestures.  We
specialize natural portrait, wedding and bridal photography. I love what I do and I am lucky to do it.

Recently, I've discovered that I love to create custom comissioned painted portraits for clients.  My intrepretive drawings are usually very playful and colorful and are hand painted in photoshop.   Very much one of a kind.

Please get to know me by being my friend on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/JessicaHorwitzPhotography).

As a person, I am many things... I am an avid reader, a lover of travel (which tends to be day and weekend trips these days with such a busy schedule) an EXTREME lover of pets and animals and a singer songwriter.  I even play in a band when time permits and my musical hobby is of of my favorite things to do.  (You can check me out at LilyOfTheSuburbs.com or on Facebook (Lily of the Suburbs) )

Chef Ashley’s Make a Wish

One of the highlights of my job is getting to go on Make a Wish events to document children’s wishes. Ashley’s wish was to become a real chef for a day, in a real professional kitchen, to cook her favorite foods for her family. Before she arrived with her siblings in the limo, her father told me that she could make the best homemade biscuits, which as a 9 year old, is quite a feat. And I think she really did have a perfect day. Her family was able to watch her prepare their glazed pork chops, broccoli and cheese (her absolute favorite) and rice pilaf for dinner… and molten chocolate cakes with homeade ice cream for desert! Make a Wish, thanks for being so wonderful and Ashley, thanks for inviting me along for Chef Day!
