Welcome to My Blog!

As a photographer, I am romanticized by the smallest things... my portraits are about relationships: intimate, loving, imperfect and endlessly beautiful.  Weddings are a strength for me because they combine all of these traits of life into one glorious event. But I love to photograph anything from portraits of children, Seniors, Pets and even Boudoir images!

Some of my images are whimsical, some of my images are sentimental. All of my images are sincere... active and always filled with life. I both graduated from the University of Georgia in 2005 with a BFA in Photography and have been photographing for around 5 years as a full time profession.

The images that I create for my clients will last for generations: they are once in a lifetime moments, glances and gestures.  We
specialize natural portrait, wedding and bridal photography. I love what I do and I am lucky to do it.

Recently, I've discovered that I love to create custom comissioned painted portraits for clients.  My intrepretive drawings are usually very playful and colorful and are hand painted in photoshop.   Very much one of a kind.

Please get to know me by being my friend on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/JessicaHorwitzPhotography).

As a person, I am many things... I am an avid reader, a lover of travel (which tends to be day and weekend trips these days with such a busy schedule) an EXTREME lover of pets and animals and a singer songwriter.  I even play in a band when time permits and my musical hobby is of of my favorite things to do.  (You can check me out at LilyOfTheSuburbs.com or on Facebook (Lily of the Suburbs) )

Family Portraits at at Lenox Park

Lenox park is a really fun place to shoot portraits.  There are all of these cute things around…a  red phone booth, a beautiful lake, and several different textures for bridges.    I met with the Roman family a while back to create a multi-functional portrait session.  They needed: portraits of just the two of them...

Family Portraits in Stone Mountain, GA

This fall family portrait session was playful and super casual. We caught the leaves when they really were just right… and were able to bring so much of that gorgeous fall texture into these images. The kids were awesome to be around and learn from. They took me on little hikes off the trails and...

Winter Wonderland

After a portrait session just north of the mountains, I took a slow drive home, the long way.    I had my cameras in hand and a few minutes stolen from a busy workweek, but I pulled my car off the road and stopped when I saw the things I normally would have driven by. ...

Leslie and Brad’s Engagement Portraits in Atlanta, GA

Leslie and Brad and I had a sort of difficult time getting our session together… the first time we met to shot, it was at the 17th street bridge. Around 5 minutes after we started shooting, the storm clouds started to come in… we got around 20 minutes of portrait taking time in before we...

Their wedding pictures here chronicle a day that was emotional, loving and just so filled with details that are all about them… they had dancing shoes...
