Salling Family Portraits | Children’s Photographer Atlanta, GA

So much joy happens when photographing little ones. I just love being a children’s photographer in Atlanta so much! We did an hour with Shelly’s family portraits, just enough time to keep the smiles alive and everyone excited and be done as soon as the little one gets tired. I love crafting lifestyle portraits of inquisitive babies. My photographs are more than just smiling faces, though… always interactive filled with a story about this moment in a family’s story.

Tip for today for creating baby portraits: always, always have one more spare outfit than you think you’ll need. Mom and Dad should be coordinated, but not matching.

Baby Hunter’s Newborn Portraits | Family Portraits Atlanta

I love the Moss family so much! I’ve worked with them through a wedding, a few portrait sessions and now little baby Hunter’s Newborn Portraits! My newborn portraits (and really all of my portraits) are different than other photographers around town. I’m not one for props and baskets, funky hats and scales. (If you bring them, I’ll play with them, but my intuitive inclination is more… natural.) My images are inquisitive and narrative: family portraits that really capture a small moment in time. They are at once playful and curious, but they are really focused on relationship more than anything. And, like always those special, special in between moments.

This family portrait session just makes me so happy. Actually, being a part of newborn portraits in general makes me happy. Little brand new lives. Searching, smiling, stretching. A big sister sharing, caring and teaching. Ahhhh. Pure Joy.

Here is my custom layout design for Baby Hunter’s Newborn Announcements. I love to design announcements for things like this… look… the background is his very own baby blanket!

The Virginia Highlands is one of my favorite places to shoot… it has a perfect combination of bohemian texture and natural elements. It is very popular for Family Portraits and Senior Portraits …

As a Family Photographer, my favorite shots are always the ones in between. Hidden smiles, real glances and gestures… the ones that you see when you look at each other, but are so rarely captured on camera. Those are my gems!!
